Be ...___ Wish Bones Frisky Six_, 13 PEEP SHOW By C. J. PORTER With rehearsals in full swing for their next production, Exeter and District Players .Guild mem bers are making like beavers these days. The play chosen for the -pre- Lenten Season is a spritdly com edy in three acts written by Tom Taggart. It was chosen from amongst, many for its sparkling Wit and the wide variety-of char acters. Name of the vehicle is “.No (Rhyme Nor Reason”, a- real ly hilarious comedy which takes place in a lady doctor’s home. Fun reigns supreme; complica tions pile on complications. It can only be said that .the dashing in and out of doors, hiding in closets, mistaken . identity, cross questions and crooked answers, add uip to 1 a comedy written for only one purpose -- to drive ..the audience into hysterics. As is 'the case of casting prac tically all plays, there comes a time when the director could quite justifiably plead temporary insanity. This little debacle occurs CHRISTMAS TREES FOR SALE Highest Prices I have served the ratepayers of the Township of Stephen to the best of my ability in the past and if elect ed again I will continue to do so. Paid For when the parts have all been al located except acters. Then Where to get are extroverts those two remaining parts? Jf anyone can answer this iplease contact any member of the Play-? ers Guild without delay. The parts are small and easy to do. Another set of individuals re quired >by the Guild is a set de signer and stage manager. This can be one person if he is two parts octopus, /but Director Helen Knox prefers to have two ’in case one of them is suddenly called to Broadway or Stratford. The two old hands, Gerry 'Godbolt and Ralph iSweitzer have leading parts in the play — this will take practically all of their spare time i’or the next two months. The .Guild* has lost its capable publicity director. Cecil Porter has just acquired a new role — that of a psychiatrist in the play. Chief duties of publicity director will be to write newspaper ar ticles, arrange for television pre views and radio spots and in gen eral to keep “No Rhyme Nor Reason” in the limelight and thus assure full houses for the Play- ersx-Guild. A really big lift was-given the Players Guild when Mrs. T. M. Dinney and, Mr. Ralph (Sweitzer granted them permission to use their hemes for rehearsals. Next rehearsal will take place at the home of Mrs. Dinney on Monday evening next. two female char- the fun begins, two females who enough to take ROASTING CHICKENS BOILING DUCKS, FOWL ETC, DASHWOOD E.
