An Open Letter
From Cann's Mill Ltd.
Fifteen years ago our family made a big decision
whenit decided to purchase the flour and seed business
of the late Harvey Bros. Tlie deciding point vas the fact
that the then village of Exeter was situated in the heart
of the best agricultural area in Ontario and seemed a
logical place to begin a feed•business.
We have watched Exeter grow from a village of /
1,700 population to a town of 2,750 people. We have
seen two new schools built, a new hospital and other
new industries and businesses started as opportunities
arose. Needless to say, we are proud of Exeter, but we
are just as proud of the good farmers of this area who
because of their toil and good farming practices, we
believe, have made Exeter the thriving town it is. Natur-
ally our firm "grew along with it.
We have striven to keep up with the changing
times and as occasions arose we have attempted to put
into use new ideas, practices and equipment that would
always give our farmers better service. The construction
of our modern elevator has been built fgor this purpose.
We have much faith in our farmer friends and
believe that they can and will enjoy much prosperity
in future years. We wish to express our thanks to them
for giving us opportunities to serve them and it is our
hope that we many continue to do so in the future.
