would expect on the part of farm
women at county level.
Huron County with six dele-
gates present and Mrs. Tait Clark
of Carlow as county chairman
reported utast interest with town-
ship women representatQves meet-
ing •regularly with the men at
the monthly meeting of county
directors.
Mrs.' Dessler wasre-elected as
Zone chairman as was Mrs. L. D.
Taylor of Fergus as vice. After
several years of good service as
Zone 'Secretary Mrs. 3. Scott
Davidson, Britton, asked to be
relieved of her duties and Mrs.
Earl Shapton .of Exeter was elec-
ted as secretary for the coming
year.
Good discussion on several re-
solutions was a feature of the
meeting and, Mrs. Lloyd Taylor
and Mrs. Earl Shapton were ap-
pointed to act as "a resolution
committee.
It was decided by resolution: --
That the women of Zone 2 go
on record in giving strong sup,-
port
ui»port to the work of the Ontario
Temperance Federation.
.'That women in this Federation
both individually and ie their
looal organizations to the Eliza-
beth Frey 'Society of Toronto le
setting up the Agnes McFhair
Memorial Scholarship Futtd. "
That driving regulations for
this province be amended if ne-
cessary and strictly enforced to
prevent the slaughter that is
taking place on our highways and
county roads.
That we recommend that 'a
field woman be provided for the
province by the Ontario Feder-
ation of Agriculture.
That provision be made by the
O.F.A. to send a woman delegate
to the annual meeting- of the
C.F.A.
Discussion on V.O.N. service in
each county brought out the in-
formation that a survey of county
services must 'precede any defi-
nite action and it was felt that
each county would do well to
have this survey Made as a . pre-
liminary step.
The annual meeting of :the
women in the Ontario Federation
of Agricuture will be held in the
'Ring Edward Hotel, Toronto, on
October 31, and it is urged that
each county in this zone send
good "l'•epresentation to help in
making voice of the women from
the farm heard both in their own
meeting and in the general meet-
ings on the three daysfollowing.
