The Hensel). United Church
was decorated with tall baskets
of • yellow gladioli and bronze
mums when Eleanor Jane Cook
and Gary Hilton Corlett ex-
changed marriage vows in a
double ring ceremony on Satur-
day last at 3 o'clock. The bride
is a daughter of Mr, and Mrs.
Norman E. Cook, of Hensall, and
the groom lsa son of Mr, and
Mrs, E. E. Corlett, Leamingtorl.
The Rev, C. D. Daniel, Hensall,
officiated assisted by the Rev. L.
F. O'Neil, of Leamington. Miss
Iris Page, of Toronto, was soloist
and Miss Greta Lammie at the
organ provided wedding music.
Bride In Whit
The bride, entering the auroh
with her ta.thef; was lovely in a
Camelia white embroidered silk
organza and satin' gown. The
voluminous skirt maga-tied from
embroidered panels and swept'
out graeefully into a Cathedral
train. Lily point sleeves and
Elizabethan collar wanted the
snugly fitted basque. Her finger-
tip illusion veil was held QV a
silk embroidered headdress trim-
med with seed .pearls. She car-
ried a shower cascade of tawny
gold roses.
Miss Jean Armstrong, Hensall,
was maid of honor. Brldesmaids
were Miss Barbara Bain and
Miss Beverley Prise, of Toronto.
They wore identical waltz -length
gowns of bronze crystalette over
shrimp taffeta with matching
headdresses and carried cascad-
ing bouquets of yellow and
bronze muted. 'Little Joan Hop-
kinson, of Lions Head, niece of
the bride, was flouter girl in a
dress of pale • yellow crystalette
and she carried a miniature nose-
gay of deep gold baby mums,
Mr. Wayne Corlett was his
brother's best man. Ushers were
1Vir. Robert MacLelland, of Mont-
real, and Mr. Robert Cook, bro-
ther of the bride.
Reception At Home
R. H. Middleton A reception followed at the
home of the bride's parents for
over 100 'guests. The bride's
mother received in an aqua blue
lace street -length gewn with
matching hat and corsage of pink
rosebuds. The groom's mother
assisted in a gown of Dior blue
brocaded satin ensemble with
shoulder corsage of pink Sweet-
heart rosebuds.
For travelling the bride don-
ned a charcoal and white woolen
dress with white hat and black
accessories and corsage of Ameri-
can Beauty roses. On their return
from a motor trip to Muskoka,
Mr. and Mrs, Corlett will reside
in Toronto.
The bride is a graduate of, the
'University of Western Ontario
and Victoria Hospital •School of
NUrsing. The groom is a 1955
graduate in Business Admnistra-
tion of the University of'Western
Ontario.

Plan Pall Bazaar
The Ladies Aid of Carmel
Church held their September
meeting in the basement of tthe
church Monday evening. Mrs. J.
Soldan's group was in charge of
the devotional period with Mrs.
J. Love and Mrs. J. Soldan taking
part.
Mrs. L. Baynham presided for
the business. The date for the
annual fall bazaar and chicken
pie supper was Set for November,
26.
LC Evening Auxiliary
The Evening Auxiliary of the
United Church convened Monday
evening with a pot luck supper
with an attendance of some 40
members. Rev, C. D. Daniel and
Mrs. Daniel were present wad
Rev. Daniel spoke to the group.

with a vocal sOlo. and a sing
song was enjoyed following the
supper hour.
It was disclosed that the
Mission Band and nursery Will
commence on Sunday, September
25. IVIeniters of the Evening Aux-
iliary will appreciate toys for the
nursery. At the October meeting
guests will be the Wtenen's
Missionary Society of the church.
Conveners for the supper were
Mrs. D. McKelvie and Mrsa W.
Spencer. Presiding for the meet-

At their first tall meeting Fri-
day night, Exeter Kinsmen ap-
prayed plans for an oldefaehierled
hoe-down lasting until the wee
small hours of the morning,
The hoe-down to Ilse held sonle-
time this fell will featere
at least, two different attends for
old and new time dancing and
will last until three o'clock in
the morning. Novelty contests
will be staged.
Past President Les Parker, 10.0
introduced the idea said: "People
are complaining the dances today
don't last long enough -they stop
when everybody Is just getting
Warmed up. This one will be dif-
ferent -it will be just like the
old-time dances that continued
long Into the eight."
The club also approved spon-
soring a booth at the .Fall Fair.
