FESTIVAL PARADE -A parade of 40 floats and seven bands
will start the program for Hensall Kinsmen's Ontario Bean
Festival on Labor Day, Monday, September... Dr. D, .1, Mc-
Laughlin, president of the Ontario Agricultural College,
Guelph, will open the festival at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
The officialefloat in last year's festival is shown abpve. Dig-
nitaries include Tom Pryde, Elston Cardiff, Alvin Kerslake,
Harold Baker, Doug McKelvie and J. A. Garnet.

Bride -Elect Feted
Miss Betty Gaiser, bride -elect
of last Saturday, was feted at
many showers prior to her mar-
riage, Showers were held for her
at New Hamburg, Sebringville,
Stratford, London and Dashwood.
A. "Bedding" shower was held
in her honour at the home of
Mrs. Harry Hoffman. Miss Joyce
Haugh conducted games assisted
by Miss Jean Haugh and Mrs.
Irene Haugh. Miss Joyce Eng-
land read an appropriate address
and the Hofrman children pre-
sented the gifts.

The Rader picnic was held at
Riverview Park, Exeter Sunday,
August 2•8 with a good attend-
ance despite the weather.,
