Dashwood ls.t}les convened the sports and !Crediton society served lunch 'on the church lawn. A pleasant afternoon was reported. Rev, andMrs. G. R. Strome returned last week to the Evan- gelical parsonage after spending r their honeymoon in Northern On- tario. They were honored at a reception in the church .school rooms on Friday evening. Roy a Ratz, .acting as chairman, called on Rev, W. Krotz, who Introduc- ed Rev. and Mrs. Strome. 'Gordon Raiz read an address and Mrs. E. Wenzel presented them with a floor ramp. Lunch was served. Service in the United Church will continue to commence at 9,45: a.m. Rev. Rapson will be in charge on Sunday next. 'Cantle,. 0f IKirkton, 71 years of age, died gaturday night in Victoria Hospital, London. Born in 'Osborne township, she had lived in 1:4on404 since 1924, She was a member of .Dundas St. United Church, the W,A.. and the Memorial Cross Mothers. Surviving besides her husband. are two daughters, Mrs, R, E. E. Pemberton (Gwendolyn), of Lon- don, and.. Mrs. J. A. Scott (Len- ore), of Ancaster, and a brother, Cecil Camm, of Woodham.
