' river park west of Exeter dam,
Webrds ' and grass have been
burned up and the grader has
levelled the area throe h which
the two river channels run.
Mayor R. E, Pooley said it may
be possible to plant grass in the
area this fall. Authorities are
also considering construction of
a cement wall to prevent erosion
of the road just at the foot of
the dam. This is part of the
park development program.
The mayor said only limited
measures could be taken this year
because the town could not afford
any major expenditures.
A landscaping expert at O.A.C.,
Guelph, has provided council with
a plan for development which it
has adopted.
Town men have been cleaning
