Mr. Keith Coates Is vacationing at Grand Bend. Canning Plant In Full Swing °The local canning factory hail been running full tilt to get the large acreage of peas harvested. The plant worked full days on Dominion Day ;holiday and . on Sunday. Workers have been at their jobs 18 and 20 hours on some of the busier days. A crew .has been hired to come in at nights to relieve the day staff. The pack is expected to be com- pleted in two weeks. Watches In First Tournament Of Year Lorne Lickman and Charles Dennis of the London Elmwoods Bowling, Club, were the winners of the 1Bulova watches donated by S. B. Taylor and the Sandy Bowden trophy in a Scotch Doub- les bowling tournament on the loeal greens Wednesday, It was the fourtb trophy that this rink has won in the past two weeks. They had three wins with a plus of sa. It was the first local tourna- ment of the year. Thirty-two rinks were in competition. The greens were in excellent •condi- tion.
