On Friday grades 7 and 8 en-
joyed a bus trip to Goderich, tour-
ing the salt plant and other points
of interest.
Mr. and Mrs. Emil Becker and
family left Tuesday on a trip to
the west coast.
Mr. and Mrs, lEd. Stelk cele-
brated their 48th wedding anni-
versary by visiting with their son
Mervyn and his daughter Patsy
at Bradford. They accompanied
their son to New Liskeard and
visited with the Johnson. family.
They also toured Quebec province.

London, were weekend visitors
with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Wein.
Mr, Harold Kellerman, who was
a -patient in St. Joseph's Hospital,
London, returned home last

Donat Quesnel, 40, of Credi-
ton, who died suddenly of a heart
attack at St josepb.'s Hospital,
Friday, June 24, was a native of
Alexandria and bad lived in this
district for three years. Ile was
a painter.
SurViving, besides his wife, the
former Florence Voisin, are three
children, Carolyn, Ricky and Dan-
ny; four sisters, IVirs. Aldredge,
Quenneville and Mrs. Ben Lepage
of 'Cornwall; Mrs. Labell, 'Conte-
couer, Que., Mrs. J. 'Desjeans,
Montreal and two brothers, Ar-
thur, Montreal and Wilfred •In
England.
The body rested at the Hoff-
man funeral home until •Saturday
noon, then at the home of his fa-
ther-in-law, Alex Voison, 'MeGiali-
Array township, Requiem mass was
sung Monday morning at .the
Church. of Our Lady, Mount Car-
mel by Father Scales and inter-
ment made in the ,parieh ceme-
tery.
Simpson Ireland
Simpson Ireland, 56; of 14 'Rey -
wood 'avenue, London, was found
dead in his room at the Avon
Hotel at Stratford, Monday. It is
believed he died of a heart at-
tack while preparing for bed Sun-
day night.
He was born in 'Stephen town-
ship and tor many years lived at
Grand Bend, later /Roving to Lon-
don. He was well known as a
gravel contractor, filling gravel
contracts on township roads.
Surviving ,theeicles his wife, the
former Lottie Eagleson, are four
sons, Bruce of .San Francisco;
Carmen, ,Ray and Glen, of Lon-
don; one sister, Mrs. Fergus Turn -
boll, R. R. 1, Dashwood; two
brothers, Herman, Toronto and
Leelle, Hyde Pari.
The body will rest at the Hoff -
Man funeral home, Dashwood,
until Thursday at 2 p,u when
services will be conducted bY
Thos. Wilkie and interment made
in Grand Rend 'cemetery.

Fanule Oliver, 80, toriu-
erly of St. Marys and .Grand Bend
died in ithe Heywood nursing

Mrs. Oliver was twice married,

Moor who died in 1912. Later
she married, Josiah Oliver, of
Grand Bend who predeceased
her In October, 1984,
