Crediton Public School made a
clean sweep of track and field
honors at the Stephen Township
School Area Sports Day at °red-
iton Friday.
The•host school, under Teachers
Mrs. Ruby Molitor and Mrs. F,
W. IVIorlock, captured both the
senior and intermediate trophies
for scoring most points in each
division.
It was the third time the Cred-
iton /students won the senior
shield and it was given to them
for permanent possession.
Middleton, principal of Dashwood
Public 'School and supervising
principal et the area, presented
the award,
Shipka, coached by Teacher
Kenneth Flear, captured the Sen-
ior •Softball Championship and
the Cliff Russell Trophy by out-
scoring Dashwood 12-0 in the
finals. Defeated twice by Dash -
'rood during the regular season,
•the Shipka team came through,
in the finals with the important
one-sided victory.
A Dashwood team, under Teach-
er Mrs. Joan Eagleson, won the
Junior Ohampionship and the J.
R. Middleton Trophy with a 14-8
win over 'Ply. School, coached
by Mrs. Acla-MoDonald.
Stephen Area Township Board
