An interesting history oft the Union Jack and the three crosses embodied in it, was given by Mrs, Theron Creery. Included in her talk was the etiquette of display- ing the flag properly. Mrs. Jackson Woods expressed; her appreciationo the members tor the dependable co-operation they had given her and called on Miss Ruth Skinner, len..successor, to close the meeting. Temperance Union Re -Elects ,Prexy Mrs. C. W. Down. was re-elected president of the Exeter-Hencall branch. of The W.Q.T.U. at the annual meeting held atthe home of Mrs,• II. D. Mooney on Tuesday afternoon. Mrs, Herman Powe was -re-elected secretary. Mrs. F. Gunning was elected `treasurer, succeeding Mrs,, Ed, McQueen, of 1 dnsall. ,Mrs: E. Geiger, Heusall, gave the treasurer's report for Mrs. McQueen, who was unable to ibe present. Mrs, W. C. Pearce gave the report on narcotics. The topic for discussion was the ever-increasing drug traffic and it's hearing on the . increasing crime wave across Canada. The county convention of the W.'C.T.'U.- will be held in Exeter in May or June. Mission Circle Donates Quilt The Easter meeting of James St, Mission •Circle was held at the home of Miss May Jones on Monday night with Miss Marilyn Hern .presiding. Mrs. ,Harold' Patterson led the worship service on the theme "'Christ's Legacy of Peace." MIL 'Clara Wellington told the story. of "The Pilgrim's Gift." A matching bolero Jacket was worn over the hand - draped bodice of taffeta and tulle. Her matching headdress was stud- ded with pearls and she carried a bouquet of yellow and white baby 'mums. Bridesmaids 'Mrs. Don Young, Ailsa iCraig; and Miss. Patricia., Giliiieur, of 'Clandeboye, sister of the beide, wore gowns in aqua shades styled identically to that wore by the matron of honour. They wore similar headdresses, matc'hi'ng their gowns and carried yellow and 'white mums. Flower girls, Sue Ann Linden - field and Elizabeth Hill, were dressed alike in yellow net over taffeta with headdresses of yel- low Sweetheart roses. They car- ried"'nosegays of blue and white baby 'mums. Doug Scott, of Lucan, brother of the groom, was his best man and Jack Gilmour and Don Scott were ushers. Mrs. Do'n Stewart, London, presided at the organ and accom- panied the soloist, Mr. 1=toy Stew- art, of Iiderton. For the wedding reception at the Lucan Community Centre, the bride's mother received the guests wearing a lace dress of Dior blue with navy and svelte accessories and a corsage of red and white carnations. The groom's mother chose a navy ensemble with navy and pink accessories and a corsage of pink carnations. For •their wedding trip to the United States, the bride changed to a navy dress trimmed with white and a powder blue topcoat with navy and white accessories.
