PredUction before the critical eyes of members of Exeter Drama Club Monday night in Preparation for competition in the zone /esti- Val at Palmerston on Friday. The One -act play, in which Mrs. Douglaa Lusley,, Gerald ciodbolt and jack Fuleher perform, will compete with five others from the Lake Huron zone at the festival. Winner will advance to a pro.. vincial competitien. "Overlaid" was judged best of three plays presented by Meni- bets of the club at a drama night, this winter. It was directed by Cecil Porter, Criticism of the performance Monday night' was part of the program for the first meeting of the newly-forMed club. Mrs, Ar- thur Whilsmith, president of the' group, conducted the meeting. Mrs. N. D. Knox, who has had considerable drama experience in Toronto,. presented the mono- logue "Ojistoh" by B. Pauline Johnsen. Exeter Public School. Principal A. B. Idle showed the film "On Stage" which depicted the pro- duction of a one -act play, Mrs, Douglas Insley was elect. ed ,publicity chairman of the group. Ple,fil were made to present short skits at ftiture meetings for entertainment and practice. The group plans to meet once every two weeks. No membership fee will be charged until the fall.
