Plans Events
Pride of Huron Rebekah ;Lodge
xuem'bers voted at their meeting
last Wednesday night to charter
a bus during the summer for a
trip to the Oddfellew and Re-
bekah Home at Barrie where they
will entertain the residents at an
outdoor picnic,
On Saturday night a bus will
taake members to London to at-
tend a meeting •of Victoria Rebe-
kah Lodge et which a degree team
from Buffalo will initiate several
candidates.
Friendship Night will be ob-
served at the next meeting of the
lodge, April 20.
An invitation was accepted to
the celebration of the twenty -
;fifth anniversary of. Clinton Re-
bekah Lodge on May 2 to which
all the lodges in the district have
Beau invited.
The film on Odelfellowship,
which was shown to Exeter Re-
beka'hs and Oddfellows this win-
ter, le now available for use by
any organization desiring it, the
Secretary announced,
N. G. Mrs, Lex McDonald was
in charge .of the meeting and at
Ate conclusion served lunch to the
members.

James St, Group
Rev. Carl Schroeder brought
the aster message to James St,
W.A. at their meeting last Thurs-
day afternoon, choosing as his
text "I, if I be Lifted Up, will
diem all oxen unto me."
Mrs. Wes Witmer conducted
the devotional period assisted by
Ml's. R. E. Pooley and Mrs, Ed,
johns, Mrs. Harold Jeffery play-
ed a piano solo. The program was
in charge of Mrs. Whitney Coates'
group.
The May meeting will be with-
drawn and the members will be
hostesses for the. W. A, Presby-
terial on May 11. Mrs. Rufus
Kestie's group will be in charge
oS the dinner for the delegates.
At a Blossom. Tea to be spon-
sored by the W. A. on May 20, a
representative of Simpson -Sears
will speak on "Fashions and
Home Furnishings,"
Following the evening_ service
on April 24, the W. A. will hold
a social hour to allow Rev. Dun-
can McTavish, speaker at the
opening of the new Sunday Sshool,
to meet his friends.
A donation of $25 was voted
to the Girls' Work Board of the
C.G.I.T. to be used to send girls
to camp.

week. We feel sure Mom would
welcome the ideaso we will in-
clude some recipes that are
simple enough for the girls to try
out,
Mrs. Alvin Pym has contribut-
ed a recipe for c000nut squares.
How about starting on them?
COCONUT SQUARES
(Mrs. Alvin Pym)
cup butter
1 cup flour
a cup brown sugar
Mix and pat into 8 x 12 inch
pian. Bake for 10 minutes at 375
degrees.

wedding, Miss Aileen Guymer
presided at the organ.
Given in marriage by her feath-
er, the bride wore a ballerina
length gown of embroidered ny-
lon and tulle. The jacket of em-
broidered.nylon was designed with
lily point sleeves and the bouf-
fant skirt was finished in white
tulle, She carried an ivory prayer
book"crested with • an orchid and
white sweet -peas.
:Mrs. Alvin Faulder, •who was
her sister's matron -of -honor,
chose a powder glue lace and ny-
lon net gown and carried yellow
Shasta 'mums.
John H. Hayes, London, was
groomsman and, the ushers were
Ronald Burns, London and. Alvin
Faulder, Ailsa Craig.
At the reception et the Latin
Quarter, the bride's 'mother re-
ceived the guests wearing a navy
dress with navy and white aeces-
sories and a 'red rose corsage.
The bride donned a powder
blue suit ° with navy and :white
accessories and an orchid corsage
for the wedding trip to Buffalo,
Cleveland and Detroit. Mr. 'Clark,
a graduate of London Teacher's
College, and his bride will make
their home in London.

a recipe for calla lilies, which we

your Easter baking. But they
make an attractive dessert any-
time. •-
CALLA. LILIES

3 eggs
1 cup sugar
2 tbs. water
1 'cups pastry flour
2 tsps, 'baking powder
Mix as you would for sponge
cake. Spread a thin layer in
greased layer cake tins or pie
tins 'and bake, 'While still warm
cut each layer into .f our pie -
shaped pieces. .a
Fold cut edges together and
hold with tooth ,picks to form
lilies. Fill with whipped cream
topped with a cherry. This recipe
makes, about 2A dozen, You may
fill as needed. ;Remove tooth
picks before serving.

District 8, Huron -Perth Agricul-
tural Societies, at their meeting
here recently', sent, us two of her
favorite recipes. This 'week 'we 'will
use her candy recipe which our
young cooks may like to try.
