Spring Detoured
When Sol Fell?
Wind, rain and bad weather
Invariably accompany the Vernal

must have really tripped and
ranee creasing the equator, to
produce last Monday's deluge of
rain and Tuesday's hurricane
winds and western .blizzard 'which
blew in windows, uprooted trees
And cancelled hockey end Heine
and School meeting. By late
eve-
ning traffic through the village
was almost nil and Lucan looked;
like the "deserted village",
Three ladies who defied the
elements to accept a bridge
engagement got stalled at mid-
night and had to abandon the
car. Fortunately, two were with-
in walking distance of their home,
but the third had to accept the
hospitality of her hostess for the
night.
If' Spring is "just around the
corner", it must have taken the
wrong turn or been detoured.
