the Sunday Sehooi room,Coun-
sellor Iva Hodgins led in recrea-
tion and continued the project
"Exploring Worship". The model
tabernacle , was completed and
set up and the "Time Line"
brought up to date.
The Explorers were reminded
of the presentation of Stars of
Achievement at the next Expedi-
tion and were urged to complete
the necessary work to obtain
their stars.

Miss Anne McCarthy, •89, died
on March 4 at her late residence,
Concession 10, Biddulph, where
she was born and spent all her
life. Her parents were the late
Michael and Johanna McCarthy.
The body rested at her late
home till .M'onday,'Maxeh 7, when
it was taken to St, Patrick's
Church where Requiem High
Mass was sung at 10 a.m. Rev.
J. A. Machesy officiated.. Inter-
ment was in adjoining cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jos. Grace,
John Beatson, Ern Meoarthy,
James. Kennedy, Tom Casey and
Delbert Morley. e
}Miss McCarthy was .the last
member of her family and her
only survivors are a number of
nieces and nephews.

•Stanley Hodgins, 51, son of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hodgins,
who .at one time lived en Alice
St., Lucan, and his wife, now of
London, were involved in a car
accident in last week -end's fog,
!Both were taken to .St, Joseph's
Hospital. Mr. Hodgins was re-
leased after treatment but Mrs.
Hodgins was kept in the hospital.
The Hodgins' car collided with
a department of highway truck
driven be IGdrdon •Pincombe,
R.R. 1, London, who climbed out
of his overturned machine un-
hurt. 'Property damage was
estimated at about $$,500.
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Robb visited
with Dr. and Mrs, J. G. MdLeod
of Kincardine last Friday. While
there they attended the Rebekah
Lodge service at the Linklater
funeral home for Mrs. Robb's
cousin, Mrs. Wilf Geddes, whose
death occurred on Thursday.
Since returning home both Mr,
and Mrs. Robb have contracted
flu.

Thorneale, attended the funeral
of Mrs. Rands on Saturday.

roy, Forest and Ridgetown for
the Inter -Arena Hockey Trophy
donated by Caradoc Nursery of
Strathroy. The first doubleheader
will be held at the Lucan arena
Wednesday, Mareh 16, with
Strathroy vs. Lucan at 8 Pan, and
Ridgetown vs. Forest, at 9:30
p.m. On Thursday, March 17, Lu-
cand and Forest and Strathroy
and Ridgetown will play at Fo-
rest arena.

Figure. Skating Revue
The Figure Skating Revue on
April 1 received quite a boost for
their program with the acquisi-
tion of` Linda and Jeffrey John-
son. This famous couple, who
have just returned from the
World's Amateur Figure Skating
Tournament held at Vienna,
Austria, and also skated before
huge crowds in Paris, France,
and London, England. will cer-
tainly highlight the evening's
entertainment.

Twenty members and six
visitors attended the March
meeting of the Anglican Wo-
men's Auxiliary held at the
home of Mrs. Irene Coursey,
Wednesday afternoon. The presi-
dent, Mrs. T. C. McFarlane was
assisted in the devotions by Mrs.
W. Dickins and Miss Lina
Abbott. The Scripture Lesson
was read by Mrs. Wes Atkinson
andyfrs. U. T. Stanley led in the
Litany. The sum of $ 2 was
voted for the African project.

A car driven by Harold Ait
kine, 46 of C1andeboye, was in
collision with one driven by
Laurence Bottrell, 24, of Lon-
don, last Wednesday. In the
latter car was an expectant
mother being rushed to the St.
Joseph's Hospital ,Critically in-
jured was. Frank Brown, 33, of
Lucan, passenger in, the Aitkin's
car, Neither driver was hurt but
damage to the cars was estimated
at $1,550..

Funeral services for Mrs,
Thomas Rands, the former Ara-
bella Armstrong, who died Fri-
day, March 4, at the home of
her daughter, Mrs, :Guy Ryan,
Concession 4, Biddulph, were
held on Saturday from the Murdy
funeral home Lucan, Rev. J. H.
Wagland of Holy Trinity Church
officiated. Interment was in
St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye.

Daughter of the late Mr. and

years ago where the former
died 11 years ago. For the past
eight years Mrs. Rands has been
in poor "mania. •

agricultural education but not
under the present educational
