London Cheyennes. It was agreed
by the two teams to play a sud-
den death game for the trophy..
London Cheyennes won 3-1. The
most outstandin>;, player award
for the evening goes. to Corky.
Schroeder, the Dashwood goalie,,
who played a terrific game.
The most heart-warming
in
eident of the recc league season
was the appearance every night
of Ken Burgess, coach. of the
Cheyennes. Although confined to
a wheelchair, Ken remains a very
active person in sports; always
concerned about London's young
fry, he is doing everything pos-
sible for these boys to participate
in the sports he himself cannot
play. In my books he is the
sportsman of the year.

Sent To Prison
For Seed Theft
Eric McDonald, 29, of R.R. 2,
Monkton, was sentenced to one
year in reformatory Monday after-
noon when Perth County Judge
H. D. Lang found him guilty of
theft. of seed from the Mitchell
Co-operative Seed Mill last No-
vember.
Judge Lang, who had reserved
decision in the case which was
Wound up a week ago, said that
the Crown proved '"beyond a sha-
dow of a doubt" that the seed
which McDonald sold to a mill at
Exeter last November 11 was the
same seed which had been stolen
from the Mitchell mill the night
before.
The 52 bags of seed, valued at
$$45, were taken frons the Mit-
0101 mill, loaded on a railway
hand car and transported to a
railway crossing where a truck
was waiting. The seed was sold
to Jones, McNaughton Seeds Ltd.,
Exeter.
Defence counsel told the court
there was "every likelihood" of
an appeal,
