Middlesex and Perth are the seed'
fairs, These: fairs are, to our Way
of thinking, one of the better
types ofprojects. liven -County
fair held in Clinton, March 4 and
5 and Berth ,Connty fair•in
shell March 16- and 17, are on a

in each respective county' is
member, no entry fee Is charged,
and each fair sponsors classes tor
attract all growers of, the differ.;

and Forge Clubs located in their
area. At Clinton they sponsor a

pare their exhibits and clean up
their 'supplies in readiness for the
anticipated demands.

have all the aforementioned Dins

seed fair is now a regional el -dis-
trict show,which ineludes 11 Wes-
tern Ontario counties. It has .the
facilities, being held in the Wes-
tern Flail buildings, March 1-4.
It 'is .planned to encourage the
local county exhibitors (closed
classes) and also it has encourag-
ed district county exhibitors .by
eXtending their championship
classes. They also hays' a bacon
ohow- and a commercial agricul-
tural exhibit, that is 'second to
none`as an indoor displaY•

On Friday, Miss Nancy. Morriss-
ey attended a school dance in
Ridgetown.
Mrs. Mac Ziler has %returned
home from the hospital where she
underwent a. serious operation.
Miss Ann ,Dietrich, of London,
was home for the .week -end.
Hiss Donelda Voisin is on the
sick list.
On Tuesday evening the Mt.
Carmel bowling teams met in
Exeter. The night's game put St.
William's team out of the lead
and St. Edward's won top.piace,
Mr..Chas. Dietrich, w.ho Was
rushed to St. Joseph's Hospital,
is improving and will be home
soon.
A Dot luck Weer was held in
the Mt. Carmel parish- hall Wed-
nesday evening. A large crowd
attended and euchre followed.
'On Wednesday evening a birth-
day party was 'held in -honor of
Mr. Alex Voisin, Sr. Following a
turkey dinner he was presented
with'e chair and other gifts.

Plans are being made to begin con-
strUction in early spring of a .new grain
elevator with 4.0,000 bushel storage capac-
ity. The, construction wilh be rushed. to
completion by July. to receive fall wheat
deliveries.
Equipment to be instilled will be of
the /fastest and •most modern design that
.1955 mill equipment can offer.
A HYDRAULIC HOIST will, at the
touch of a 'button, lift 500 bushels of grain
to make easy unloading for semi -trailers
and truck.
AUTOMATIC WEIGHING SCALES
will be used to eliminate human error..
CLEANERS and ELEVATORS will
handle at least 2,000 BUSHELS . PER
HOUR and railroad box cars will be
weighed and loaded with grain in less than
45 minutes.
. FACILITIES will be installed FOR
GRAIN DRYING.
CORN SHELLERS will unload and.
shell truckloads of cobbed corn in 10 OR
15 MINUTES.
BUILDING CONSTRUCTION. will be
Made of STEEL and CONCRETE only and
will be totally fire proof.
We hope that the building of this ele-
vator will be of material benefit to the
farmers of the whole surrounding area.
