the community, was a success in
spite of the extreme weather.
Cards, • garaes, dancing were in-
dulged in and a number enjoyed
skating. Mrs. Joe Desjardine was
high lady for the euchre, while
Mr. Russell Webb carried away
high prize for the men.

ing of the Church of God. will be
held at 2.00 p.m. on Thursday,
February 10 in the church base-

Reports Best YearEver
Reports given at the congrega-
tional meeting of ,.the Crediton
United Church on Friday evening
showed that the church had ex-
perienced a very successful year.
The meeting Was held in the
church school room following a
congregational super.
Rev. W. Parrott presided
for the meeting and expressed
appreciation for the kindnesses
shown himself and family during
the year, All reports given by the
vafious committees showed the
church to be in a flourishing con-
dition. In giving the treaslirer's
report, 1VIr.Ed Beaver,whet has
held the office for many years,
showed a balance far exceeding
that of any year in the church's
history,
Appreciation was expressed to
