Here are two that are seasonable from January to December—an delic­ ious as well. Savory Minced) Cheese Sandwich pound American cheese tablespoon butter teaspoon mustard sauce from mustard pickles cup mustard pickles, finely chopped Salt Paprika Allow cheese to stand in a warm place to soften. Mash the cheese and blend with sugar. Add remaining in­ gredients. Spread .on thinly sliced whole wheat or rye bread, buttered. Cabbage Salad Unique small cabbage, shredded pimento, chopped cup home made style pickles, chopped. to % cup mayonnaise or cook­ ed salad dressing Mix lightly together cabbage, pim­ ento, and pickles. Add enough may­ onnaise to moisten the mixture. Serve cold, •Serve hot cooked shrimps with the following sauce: * ( pound butter, melted cup lemon juice cup catsup teaspoon Worcestershire sauce teaspoon paprika Sugar, to taste Mix and heat thoroughly. Serve sauce hot in individual bowls. Re­ move shells from shrimps and dip in the sauce one at a time. (Serves 4-5. Allow % pound large shrimps to- each person.) . Mr. and |Mrs. Rae McIntyre, Dell and Patsy of Gorrie visited at Wal­ ter Ballagh's on Sunday. Minnie Jef- fray returned with them. Mrs. McKeil visited at her old home at Walton the past week. Mr. Gibson is under the doctor’s care—getting hurt while at work. Frank Douglas and family, Mr. and Mrs. King were Sunday visitors at R. J. Douglas. Born—In the Wing-ham General Hospital on Thursday, November 24, to Mr. and Mrs. Fred McQuillin, a son. Miss Laurine Miller, student nurse at the Stratford General Hospital was a recent visitor at her home here. Mr. Wm. Perdue, of Port Huron, has been a visitor at the home of his aunt, Mrs, Jos. Gaunt.
