to administer the Social Credit Act,
was announced by C. L. MacLachlan,
Chairman of the Social Credit Board.
Mr. Byrne, who returned to England
in August after being appointed a

ten-year contract, Mr. MacLachlan

To Remove Sino-Jap Question

Sino-Japanese question out of the
hands of the League of Nations and
place it before an independent world '
conference, which it was hoped would
have full collaboration from the Unit
ed States. The special conference,
which would have its headquarters in
London, would be similar in many
respects to the International Non-In
tervention Committee of 27 nations.
China Wants 9-Power Pact Enforced
