Two Bands in Attendance DOCTOR DROWNS AT BRUCE BEACH The first fatality in the Bruce Beach district this year occurred on Sunday when Dr. Richard T. Kidd, 32-year-old Atwood physician, was drowned near the diving board dir­ ectly in front of W. F. Burgman’s cottage. With his wife and Dr. J. D. and Mrs, Colquhoun, of Ethel, he was in bathing. While on the outer diving stand Dr. Colquhoun heard Dr. Kidd's cries for help about fifty feet* from the stand. Dr. Colquhoun went to his assistance but Was unable to hold him. An hour later the body was re­ covered id about eight feet of water, Dr. Kidd was a native of Listowel and a graduate of Western University and has been praticing at Atwood for six years.
