Richard McWhinney of Dungannon

work. After, a short program lunch
was served and all enjoyed the social
half-hour.

^Johnston Family Re-Union
The annual Johnston Family Re-*
Union was held on Friday, August 6,
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bert
Johnston, on the 16th Concession of
Grey, near Walton, with an .attend
ance of over thirty. The afternoon
was pleasantly spent in social inter
course, baseball and other games, ’
Harvey Johnston was appointed as
President for next year, and Mr/Sil
as Johnston convenor of the sports
committee. A picnic* lunch was the
closin gfeature of a happy gathering.
Regret is expressed that Mr. David
Patton has suffered a relapse follow
ing his recent illness and is again
under the doctor’s care. .
Mrs. H. Dennis, Jewel and Joy,
visited last week with her mother in
Harriston.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Gardner and
Mr. and Mrs. Will Gardner, of Zion,
visited with friends in Wingham and
Turnberry over the week-end.
Mr. Lome Gardner is spending a
few holidays with his Lucknow and
Zion cousins.
Mrs. Taylor, of Zetland, visited
with her mother, Mrs. Welsh, who is
not as well the past, week as we
hope for.

Mrs. Mulligan narrowly escaped
serious injury this week at the home
of her daughter, Mrs. Edward Barn
ard. She opened the cellar door by
mistake and fell down the /steps, 're
ceiving a bad shaking up, one arfn
being badly bruised.
