Farmers in’ this vicinity will have
.no lay-off between haying and har-
est. The -hay crop is so heavy that

the purpose of which was the collec
tion of a note for $3000 and interest
from WJH. Coombs and his son Ora ,
Coombs. The Judge-took the attitude
that as the defendant had received
none of the money and had signed
the note some time after? it had been
made by Ora L. Coombs and his wife,
there was no obligation on the part of
William H. Copmbs and the case was
dismissed.

held on Thursday, July 8th, at the
home of Mrs. Thomas Bamford. Mrs.
A. Campbell led the meeting. Mrs.
R. Chamney had charge of the chap
ter in the study book. Miss Irene
Jefferson read the Scripture lesson,
Jean Campbell contributed a solo and
a reading was given by Miss Margaret
Jefferson. The Pres., Mrs. Taylor,
dismissed the meeting with prayer
and lunch was served by the hostess.
