Mr. and Mrs. Fred, Holmes and son,
Horace, and Mr. Ross Holmes, Kin
cardine, visited last week at the home
of Mr. Ezra Welwood and with Mr.
and Mrs, John Falconer of Wingham.
Born—On Thursday, August 13th,
at Lucknow, to Mr. and Mrs. John
Kilpatrick (need Annie Robinson) a
daughter.
Mr. Wilfred Jacques, of Sudbury,
is spending his holidays here with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eli Jacques.
Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Scholtz and lit
tle son, Clayton, moved into the
house vacated by Mrs. Patterson last
week.
Mr. and Mrs. John Falconer and
Mr. and Mrs. James Falconer and
Lois, and Rcllison Falconer, spent the
week-end at Caledon at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Elgin Welwood, and
Charlie Falconer, who has been holi
daying there, returned home with
them.
Miss Anftlia Lever, of London,
.spent the week-end with her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Lever,
Many friends in this district of Mr.
and. Mrs. Alec Lever, will sympathize
with them in Mrs. Lever’s illness in
Wingham Hospital. She had bones
in both her legs fractured on Satur
day when she was trampled by a run
away team.
Miss Marian Casemore, of Turn
berry, spent the week-end with Mr.
and Mrs. Ernest Casemore,
Mr. and Mrs. Mrs. Will Shaw and
Shirley, of New Toronto, are spend
ing this week at the home of her mo
ther, Mrs. Jas. MacGregor.
Mrs. August Lisso, of Ayr, and
Mrs. Smith, formerly Emma Strove,
of Hespeler, were in this community
last week, renewing old acquaintances
here and at Langside.
Many of the Kinloss folks took ad
vantage of the aeroplane rides Fri
day last. They were stationed on the
farm of Mr. John Richardson.
Rev. Donald Nicholson of Bucking
ham, Que., visited at the home of
Mr, and Mrs, W. R. Farrier on Friday
last.
Mr, and Mrs. Alec Naylor of Fort
Erie, and his sisters, Mrs, Bell and
Mrs. Bailey, of Blyth, visited at the
home of their brother, Mr. B, 5. Nay
lor, one day last week, and on Sun
day,. Mr. and Mrs, Will Proctor and
their daughter, Mrs. Kerr, and her
baby son, Jack, visited there.

Mrs. A. Fox spent-a few days last
week at St. Helens at the nome of
her sister, Mrs. Wm. Humphrey.
Miss Janet Scobie, Wilton Grove,
is spending the week-end with Miss
Agnes Gillespie.
Mr. and Mrs, Chas. Martin and
family, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Thompson
and Floyd, and other Wingham rela
tives spent Sunday at Point Qlarke.

Mrs. Weaver and son, Kenneth,
motored to Palmerston on Sunday

Mrs. VanAlstyne and her brother,

Rev. and Mrs. J. Pollock are away

son, Jack, has taken the services in
the different churches on Sunday. We
congratulate him on his ability to
take the work so acceptably.

tendance at this meeting as usual:

meeting is the Grandmothers’ meet
ing.
