The municipal Council of
Township of Morris are asking
tenders for crushing and delivering
gravel at so much per cub. yard. The
contractor to furnish power, oil, fuel
and everything necessary for deliver
ing the finished product on the road
as directed by the Road Superintend
ent and to be responsible for twenty-
five per cent, of the breaks in the
crusher.
The gravel to be crushed to not
more than 1’4 inch size and the pow
er speed 300 revolutions per minute.

United Church on Sunday morning,
when the theme of the service was

of the Church.” Cuyler Ramage
read the scripture lesson and Marie
Swan contributed a recitation. The
anthem by the choir and the address
by Rev. H. M, Wright were in keep
ing with the day. A silver basket fill
ed with beautiful roses, the latter a
gift to Mrs. R, K. Miller from
son Stuart of Hanna, Alberta
much admired.

Temperature High for this
Time of Year
Many went to the lake over the
week end where there were surprised
to find the water much warmer than
usual for this time of year. The tem
perature of the lake was around 64
but at Goderich beach it was about 73.
The temperature over the end of last
week was very high over 87 on Fri
day. This extreme heat was very hard
on the horses as it is seeding time.
The Mothers’ Day service was
served in the Eadie Presbyterian
church; the Sabbath School and
Church uniting for the service. The
delightful part of the service was the
presentation of eight awards from the
Sabbath School for the memorization
of scripture. First certificates: Dor-

Metcalfe. Second certificate: Mar
jory .Gilmour. Diplomas: Lois Ap
Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Raumn were in
Town over the week end.
