The Belles of the Barfield
Afternoon Bridge Club held
Christmas pot luck dinner at
their bridge game Wednesday
afternoon, Dec. 18,, Sixteen
ladies, were present and all
reported a good time,
Canvass;
Barry Bak4, chairman of
the Blind Canvass for Bayfield
Lions Club is glad to advise
that $297 was collected for the
blind in the .recent drive.
He also reported a profit of
$144,63 from their recent
turkey bingo. He and president
Jack Merner and the whole
Lions Club take this oppor-
tunity to thank all those who
helped make these two events a
success, and wish all a Merry
Christmas and God Bless.
What better time than
Christmas to put what we gave
willingly to a family member or
friend in an envelope for the
starving. 75,000,000 people face
starvation abroad because
many of their former donations
were put into industry which
was and is needed terribly, We
trust that the people of Clinton
will rally to our cause and help
us by walkathons, bingos,
rallies, etc. to help us in the
New Year as millions are
needed for aid, and these
people should be remembered
regularly as well as on all
special holidays, Christmas,
Easter, Thanksgiving, and such
as their Hell is almost un-
describable.
Oh Clinton folks, when you sit
down
To Noel's fine feasting
PLEASE
Look BEYOND the presents
And the ornamented trees
And put a SPECIAL
SOMETHING
In a SPECIAL ENVELOPE
To HELP THE STARVING
MILLIONS
Find a little ray of Hope.
