As the game progressed, the
.play remained fast but became
rougher. Thirty-one penalties
were called in the game with
Clinton taking 16 to 15 for
Owen Sound,
Leading the Mustangs with
two goals and contributing an
excellent checking game was
number 17, John Mommer-
steeg. Clinton singles were
scored by Randy Millar, Neil
Cukiuhoun, Bill Irwin and Vic,
tor Kennedy. As in recent
games the steadying influence
on the team was Mike Anstett,
who added a pair of goals to his
total for the season.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT
The annual Christmas Con-
cert at Hullett Central School
w.a s. held on Wednesday,
December 18, 1974, at 8:00 p.m.
The gaily-decorated
auditorium was completely
filled with parents, friends and
neighbours.
The grade fivci class, warmly
welcomed the audience with a
song that began their "Mini
Concert." They presented a
play, entitled ."The Merry
Maiden_ anti skit ,followed;.
They finished their presen-
tation with another song.
All students of Hullett Cen-
tral School went skating at the
Clinton Arena on Friday, Q December 20, the last day of
school.
Everyone enjoyed themselves 4/

noon of fun, but only too soon Q
it was was time to leave for I
home on the hoses.
In spite of the coolness,
everyone had a ga'y time.
Members of the Clinton Mustangs were so eager to score goals last Friday night in a game

The Clinton's Junior "C"
Centennial Mustangs lost a
hard game in Hanover on
Tuesday night; but returned t2
the home town on Friday to
redeem themselves with -A
decisive victory in front of local
fans, The win on Friday
evening lifted the Mustangs to
third place in Group 2 of the
Central Junior "C" standings,
Hanover 6 Clinton 2
Tuesday night in Hanover
saw the hometown Barons
defeat Clinton in what was a
slow and penalty-filled game.
The Mustangs were without the
services of regulars Gary
Yeoman, Brian Lane and Steve
Cook. Danny Colquhoun
received a hip injury early in
the first period and did not see
any more action in. that game.
Both clubs complained
throughout the game of incon-
sistent refereeing, which was a
factor in Slowing the action due
to constant interruptions..

closed the gap to 2 - 1 after the
second, but were badly out-
skated in the final 'period, and

In front of the home town
crowd on Friday, Dec. 20, our
Mustangs skated and finessed
their way to a well deserved
win over the v isitors from
Owen Sound. Clinton struck
early as Randy Millar scored at
the 24 second mark of the first
period. The Mustangs con-
tinued this momentum through
the remainder of the game and
continually met every Owen
Sound drive with an effective
defense while choosing their
own moments for attacking the

Field Trip
An interesting visit to the
Huron County Pioneer
Museum in Goderich was taken
on Wednesday, December 11 by
the grade eight class, accom-
panied by Mr. MacLennan.
They are studying about
pioneers in their history class
and are particularly interested
is the pioneer way of life and
the progress of early settlers,
At the museum, many old
fashioned machines, tools,
items for daily tasks and per-
sonal belongings were viewed
and discussed. •
This trip was very beneficial
to the members of the class
because it will help them com-
plete 'their history projects.
Next, the grade two pupils
exhibited 'their talent in a play
called "Santa Was So Tired."
Bargains For Christmas" was
the play the grade one students
Staged and then they sang and
played with their rhythm band
instruments, "The Fat, Fat
Man."
Kindergarten classes one and
two then presented their plays
of "Little Red Riding Hood's
Christmas Tree" and "Mother
Goose's Christmas." A play;
"Santa and the Stow-Away" by .
the grade four pupils preceded
grade three's "Christmas
Story."
An operetta entitled "Sit-
Down' Strike in Santaville"
was the last number presented.
The cast was the students of
grades six, seven and eight,
This musical comedy was about
the workers in Santa's Village
going on strike. But soon the
Christmas Spirit made them
realize how silly they were to
betray Santa Claus and they
returned to their work.
The audience enjoyed ' the
result of the hard work of the
teachers and pupils. ..
Christmas Dance
The. grade seven and eight
Christmas dance was held, on
December 19, Prizes were awar-•
ded for the elimination and
spot dances.
Everyont; was dressed tip and
all enjoyed the evening.
Skating
goaltenders Dean Ryan and
Richard Welch, who split the
duties for Clinton. Their
flawless play was direct
example of the effort towards
winning that the Mustangs
have displayed this year. The
home team .otitshot the visitors
57 to 26 in this match, that was
cheered again by a small
crowd.
