his wife Georgia have two

family man.

One of my very favorite TV
shows these days is
'Emergency' . . . but I am very
upset that I never see anything
about the two stars!
Jennie C., Montreal, Que.
NBC introduced the hourlong
'Emergency' series in Jan. of '72
with very little fanfare. The
show and particularly its two
young stars, Randolph Mantooth
(John Cage) and Kevin Tighe
(Roy DeSoto), built a loyal
following for the show over the
past two and a half seasons. The
premise of the series is based on
the growing inter-dependence
between the Los Angeles County
Fire Dept. paramedics and the
medical staff of a major hospital.
The two paramedics act out true-
life experiences encountered by
the L.A. rescue unit. Robert
Fuller plays Dr. Brackett, Julie
London portrays head nurse
Dixie McCall and Bobby Troup
is Dr. ,Joe Eatly. Bachelor Ran-
dolph was horn Sept. 19, 1945, in
Sacramento, Calif„ the son of a
full-blooded Seminole. As a
reg'olt of his dad's construction
work, Randolph attended 17
high schools before graduating.
Los Angeles-horn Kevin Tighe
received his master's degree from
the University of Southern
California before launching his
acting career. His list of acting
credits include Dustin Hoffman's
'The Graduate', tv's 'Bonanza',
'Mystery Theater' and 'The Im-
mortal'. Kevin and his family
(they have one daughter — Jen-
nifer Rachel, fi) live in North
Hollywood, Ca lifornia .

I would like to know all about
the actor who playi J.J. in
'Good Times'? He's g-good!
T.G.J., Kingston, Ont.
R-r-right on! CBS's 'Good
Times' (also seen on Global TV
in Canada) is a Tandem Produc-
tion concept. And for those
keeping score, Tandem (Norman
Lear) is also responsible for 'All
In The Family', 'Maude' and
'Sanford & Son' — all of them in
the top ten! 'Times' was created
for television by writer Eric
Monte and actor Michael Evans
(Lionel in 'All In The Family')
and premiered in Feb. as a mid-
season replacement. The half-
hour comedy series is a spin-off
from the 'Maude' concept —
'Good Times' main character,
Florida, played by Esther Rolle,
was once upon a time Maude's
housekeeper. The show also
real tt res John Amos (James
Evans), Ralph Carter (as young
Michael), BernNadette Stanis
(Thelma) and Jimmie Walker as
the unforgettable J.J. Jimmie
Walker was born in New York
City's Harlem and spent a great
portion of his younger years in
some form of trouble. Making
people laugh at the drop of a hat
led Jimmie to pursue a nightclub
career, Jimmie eventuatly
became a member of the famous
Improvisation group, He has
been in several tv commercials
and had hit parts in a few films.
Home for the 1" actor is
wherever his work takes him.
