Whereas the Municipal Act R.S.O. 1970 Chapter 284, section 354 paragraph 117 and section 378 of the same Act permits Municipalities to pass by-laws for the aforementioned pur- poses, and whereas the Corporation of the Township of Goderich deems it advisable to pass such by-laws, Therefore the Corporation of the Township of Goderich hereby enacts as follows 1. Any person wishing to use lands or structures for the pur- pose of setting up, maintaining or operating a salvage yard shall apply to the Council of the Township of Goderich for a permit to do so. 2. Any person storing or retaining three or more derelict motor vehicles at any one time on any one parcel of land shall apply to the Council of the Township of Goderich for a permit to do so. • 3. The permit referred to in paragraph 1 and 2 shall be issued at the discretion of the Council for a fee of 20.00 per year, and shall remain in force from the date of Issuance until December 31st of the same calendar year, unless revoked for some violation thereof. 4. Any lands used for the above mentioned purposes prior to the passing of this by-law are subject to the provisions of this by-law. 5. Any lands used for the above mentioned purposes shall be 200' or more from any public thoroughfare and shall be en- closed by a tightly enclosed wood or metal fence at least 7' In height before a permit will be issued. 6. In addition lo these requirements, each yard or site must conform to such Regulations of the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Transportation and Communications as may be in force from time to time. 7. Any person violating this by-law shall be subject to a penalty of 100.00 for each offence, exclusive of costs, and all such penalties shall be recoverable under the Summary Con- victions Act. 8. For the purposes of inspection and enforcing this by-law, any person who has been duly authorized by the Council to do so, shall have the right to enter and inspect any lands or struc- tures within the Township of Goderich to which this by-law might apply, 9. This by-law shall come Into full force and effect on the date of final passing thereof.
