agreed upon parting. Right now,
Rona is getting fitted with

right.

QUESTION YOU NEVER
ASKED: How is ABC going to
solve its rating problems since so
many of its new shows have gone
down the drain? The network
has hired Mike Nichols to dream
up a brand new bunch of half-
hour situation comedies. Nichols
has vice president status and. a
free rein.

A: There seem to be so many
books and movies about the oc-
cult and the supernatural. Is
there a new trend? — R. W.,
Morristown, Tenn.
A: You don't need a medium
to tell you where the money is.
After the success of "The Exor-
cist," writers, publishers and
movie producers are mining the
supernatural lode. This year's
first occult bestseller is "The
Search for Joseph Tully,"
William Hallahan's new novel
about revenge from beyond the
grave. Columbia will film it.
Then there's "The Reincar-
nation of Peter Proud," about a
man who was murdered and
returns from the dead, plus
William Blatty's new one. Brace

QUESTION YOU NEVER
ASKED: Has Katharine Hep-
burn, the screen's greatest lady,
ever talked openly about her sex
life? Has she ever! Miss Kate has
given an interview to photo-
journalist John Bryson that will
fairly sizzle readers, it's so unex-
pected. The coup was a jour-
nalist's dream, but then Bryson
is famous for such things. He's
the man who took the great

clusive with Khrushchev when
Russia's premier was unap-
proachable,
Q: Does Gov. George
Wallace of Alabama believe the
man who shot him acted alone
or does he think it was a con-
spiracy? — J. R., Ft. Wayne,
Ind.
A: The Governor believes Ar-
thur Bremer's action was part of
a conspiracy. He says, "A busboy
doesn't have the money to go
around the country buying guns,
riding around. in limousines,
flying planes, travelling to
Canada." But since Wallace
can't prove anything, he refuses
to speculate over who might have
hacked Bremer.
RUMOR DEPARTMENT:
We've heard reports that
Howard Hughes has dispatched
emissaries to buy up any old
newsreel footage they can find of
him, The story goes that Hughes
is offering enormous sums of
money for these films par-
ticularly those taken when the
recluse was in his heyday.
Hughes is apparently going to
make the most expensive home
movie in history or, more true to
form, burn all the film.
0: Is it true Charles Bronson
hates the press? What's he
doing now? — N. E., Billings,
Mont.
A: The hottest star in pictures
today doesn't hate the press
though he had a good reason to
do so — you should read some of
the unkind things they've written
about him. Bronson likes many
reporters individually and can
be charming and, courteous when
he is moved by a journalist's in-
telligence. Bronson is now
making a movie based loosely on
the early days of Jack Dempsey.
