tions on the piano. The collec-
tion was taken by the Hostesses

Our
mistake ,
In a story in last week's
paper, it was incorrectly prin-
ted that 801) Peck of Varna
received 532 votes in the race
for a board of education seat,
He actually received 647.
Mr. Peck was also a one-time
member of the Clinton and
District High School board for
nine years, not a member of the
Stanley Township board as
reported.
Board Meeting
The Board of Management of
Trinity Anglican Church met
Tuesday evening, December 3
in the Parish Hall and sot
several dates for upcoming
Church. activities.
Sunday December 15 will be
White Gift Sunday, and all are
asked to please bring non-
perishable items, such as can-
ned goods or packaged foods.
These articles will then be
given to the Children's Aid
Society for distribution to
needy families in Huron
County. It was noted that gifts
of money would also be
gratefully accepted.
On Sunday, December 22, the
Nine Lesson Carol Service will
be held at 10:00 a.m. in Trinity
and January 16 was set as the
date for the Annual Vestry
Meeting in the Parish Hall.
The Rector, Rev. George
Yonmatoff will be taking his
annual vacation from January
19 for three weeks. Harry
Baker and Morgan Smith
volunteered to act as the
nominating committee to bring
in a slate of officers for the
January annual meeting.
The Christmas Creche
donated to the Church by the
sisters of the late Mrs, Ger-
trude G. Gairdner has been ex-
pertly repaired by Mrs. Ed Od-
dleifson and will be duly
dedicated. Mrs. Oddleifson is to
be highly commended for the
beautiful work. she has done in
the restoration of the creche.
In other business, the Rector
reported that the Bishops Ap-
peal for funds for the North
had received a terrific and
heart warming response and
had been over subscribed; that
a carpenter is to look at the
front doors of the Church to see
whether they can be repaired or
if they will need replacing;
received a letter regarding the
purchase of new Choir gowns;
and learned that they could not
be supplied in .blue as
requested, so another company
will have to be approached;
and decided to move the organ
to the opposite side of the
Church in order. to accom-
modate another choir seat arid
kneeling bench, and possibly
sreidloe,c ate the Lectern to the west
