Following the exciting action
of four exhibition games, the
Senior Redmen appear to be on
the road to a successful basket-
ball season.
In the first exhibition game
for both teams this season the
Senior Redmen upset the'Strat-
ford Northwestern Huskies by a'
score of 62-57. It was consistent
rebounding, accurate passing,
and a good team effort which '
allowed the Redmen to pull out
the victory. Top scorers for the
Redmen were Larry Carter
with 24 points, Tim Jewson
with 16 and Gerry Lobb with

Schippling with 25 points.

A six-game unbeaten streak
of the Clinton Colts came to an
abrupt end last Friday night in
Kincardine as the Texacos (for-
merly the Bulldogs) blanked
the Colts 5-0. The win pushed
the Texacos into second place
while the loss dropped the
Colts to third place in the six-
team O.H.A. Intermediate 'C'
loop. • .
The league-leader in 'goals,
• Jim Bell paced Kincardine
with two goals but the excellent
goaltending of Riggin was the
big difference of the game.
Time after time the lanky net-
minder pushed aside the offen-
sive efforts of the Colts.
Playing before a crowd of
over 200 last Sunday night, the
Colts sent their fans home con-
tented as they dumped the
Goderich Sailors 7-3.

and gave the Colts a short-lived

balanced teams the Redmen
have faced so far this season,

the game and send it into over-
time. However, with three
players fouled out and another
receiving injuries, the Redmen
were unable to obtain' enough
scoring punch to pull the game
out. Top scorers for the Red-
men were Larry Carter and
Tim Jewson, both with 16
points, while Don MacDonald
added 12 points. Meanwhile for
the Colts, O'Reilly had 1.6
points, with Wilson and Wise
scoring 11 and 10 points respec-
tively.
On Wed. Dec. 4, the Redmen
travelled to Mitchell to play
the Blue Devils, and somehow
managed to pull out a 45-42
victory. The game was a com-
plete contrast to the one
previously mentioned involving
the Huskies. The Redmen ap-
peared to he alrhost "dead" as
