and Ontario Hydro,
Mr. Palmer said he expected a 12 percent
to 14 percent increase for street lighting in
1975.
Council passed four by-laws dealing with
recent changes required in the permits for
installation of Highway entrances to
property in the Township; a by-law
covering sale of former Lugsdon property
of approx. 314 of an acre in gmonclville to
Mrs. Kenneth (Grace) Coleman, of Egmon-
dville for $3105; a by-law for the
agreement to cover the installation of
natural gas to Vanastra by Moffat Lake
Explorations and a by-law covering
repayment of tile drain loans to farmers.
Requests for, three building permits were
approved for Joe Devereaux, R.R, 4,
Seaforth, Milkhouse; Don Carter, R.R. 2,
Seaforth-horse barn; Milton Dietz, RR,
Seaforth - feed warehouse.
Mr, McIntosh reported that he had
received permission this week for the
Vanastra Recreation Committee to sell
Lottery tickets to raise money to ehclose
the new swimming pool from the town of
Goderich and the Townships of Stephen
and Ashfield.
An application for a severance for a lot
in Egmondville, was approved for Harold
Turnbull.
Clerk McIntosh was authorized to apply
to the ministry of transportation and com-
munications for $13,000, additional sub-

The third meeting of the
Holmesville II 4-H Club was
held Sept. 30 in the H.P.S. Ann
Klomps, president, opened our
meeting and all repea.ted the 4-
II pledge.
The roll call "The type of'
referende file I have chosen"
was answered by 12 members.
Minutes were read by Mary
Ann Key , Koop. Questions and
answers were given on the two
topics "Entertaining a Guest"
and "Being a Guest." Thank
you notes were written by each
member and then each one
read her note aloud.
"Introductions" were
discussed and put into practice,
and packing a weekend case
was demonstrated and each
member packed the case herself
using her own method.
It was' decided to do a skit
for Achievement Day and ideas
for same are to brought to
the next meeting on Oct. 7. -

REGISTRATION

The band is now In a position to receive ap-
plications for membership.
Any interested student in Clinton and surrounding
district, aged 8-18 years Is eligible to join.
Previous musical knowledge is an asset but not
essential. The band's new musical director, Miss
Lois Legg, MUS. BAC, will be happy to interview
you on Tuesday, October 8 in the basement of St.
Joseph's Church, James Street, Clinton at 7 p.m.
If you have a brass or wind instrument please
bring it with you.
