Canon Paull and Miss Carrie
Dixon of Brantford.
Mrs. 'John Smith gave the
social service report, Mrs.
Keith Miller has shipped the
Deanery bale.
Ways and means were
discussed and it was decided to
hold a popular garage type of
sale on Saturday August 3 on
the church lawn. There will be
a baking sale in conjunction
with it:
Mrs. Ross Middleton was the
"guest" speaker and her sub-
ject was painting a portrait.
Mrs. Edward Deeves volun-
teered as a model and nearly
everyone attempted a charcoal
sketch along the line Mabel
had indicated.
We don't know where we
went wrong but no portrait
bore any resemblance to the
model. They varied in ap-
pearance from Sophie Loren to
"The grute" complete with
mustaches. It was great fun
although no great budding ar-
tistic talent came to light. Mrs.
Don Middleton thanked Mabel
for her efforts.
