The tennis club is having an
open house at the courts on
Tues, June 25 beside the roller
skating arena, Everyone is
welcome to come and inspect
the grounds and courts and
registration will be on the same
evening. It starts at 7 p,m. and
all interested or ' not are
welcome to come. You might
get interested?
Work Day
Our work day on Saturday
did not shape up very well
because of the weather, but
maybe we will have a nice
Saturday this week so we will
keep trying every Saturday un-
til we get all our work finished.
More picnic tables were assem-
bled and as were some of the
pyramids for the play area, so
slowly we are getting there.
The Recreation Committee
will be taking interviews for
lifeguard and instructors and
for a recreation director.
Recreation Happenings
Recreition programmes have
to date been started and others
are to follow. There is still
room for participation in these
activities.
,SWimming, lessons to get un-
der way by August 1, 1974 and
public swimming by July 15,
1974. The wading pool will be
operational shortly for all the
children of the community.

a playground activity
programme will take 'place
from 1;30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.,
this will consist of hand crafts,
games, sing songs, special
events etc. for children of all

Harry Merriman of Clinton
was last week installed as the
new president of the Clinton
Lions Club. He succeeds Har-
vey Howard of Clinton.
Other officers installed at the
ceremony include: Eugene
McAdam, first vice-president;
Hugh Flynn, second vice-
president; Tony Van Zon, third
vice-president; Len Theedom,
secretary; John Wise,
treasurer; Ted Davies, Lion
tamer; Joe Murphy, Tail

Named as one-year directors
were Harold Wise, and Alfred
Mathers. Installed as two-year

The 39th Harrison Reunion
was held at Lions Pa'rk
Seaforth on Saturday June 8th.
The afternoon was spent with
races and contests after which
a delicious smorgasbord supper
was served. Grace was sung
and a minute's silence was ob-
served in memory of those who
had passed away during the
year.

The president, LeRoy
Harrison, announced that a
picnic would be held, on July
28th at Mitchell Park in
George Brown of Clinton is one of the men who have volun-
teered to help at the Clinton Rec. Committee Monster
Bingos every Monday night. So far, $2,000 worth of tables
and chairs have been purchased for the arena. The bingos

Harrison reunion held
honour of Mrs. Floss William-
son of Vancouver and it was
decided to hold the reunion
again in 1975 on the second
Saturday ,in June at the
Seaforth Park.
