District Council on Thursday
evening April.18th at• their an-
nual banquet with a good at-
tendance. Following the
banquet, they held a meeting
when they., elected the officers

christened on Sunday at bap-
tismal services held at the Lon-
desboro United Church.
Following the service open
house was held at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. John Thompson
in honour of their grandsons.
Guests were present from Owen
Sound, Woodstock, Sarnia,
Toronto, Lindsay, Auburn,
Goderich, Colborne Township,
Detroit, Southfield Michigan,
London, Londesboro, Clinton,
Seaforth and the surrounding
area.

Brucefield Firemen were
called to a barn fire south of
Brucefield at the home of Eli
Denys, near Kippen on
Saturday. Considerable
damage was done but they were
able to save most of the barn.
Congratulations to Mr. and
Mrs. Gregor McGregor on the
occasion of their 51st wedding
anniversary April 21st.
Mr. Wilfred Ross is a patient
in Seaforth Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Smith of
