Mr. Matthies! talents Are music and art. His spare-time

Mr. Matthies is married and
has no children. We hope that

GRADE 5 ASSEMOLT
Grade 4 and 5 Sale
A t Clinton Public School,
grades 4 and 5 had a couple of
events for Bunny Bundle.
Mrs. Crocker's grade four
had a haunted house. They
charged ten cents for ad-
mission,
Mr, Roorda's grade 4 had
some baking and Some other
things for sale.
Mrs. Charter's and Miss
Wilbee's class 'went together
and had a bake sole, They also
sold some books, and toys and-
they had a .couple of events
such as bingo and throw the
beanbag,. There were Also a
couple of draws for cakes,
cookies, and cupcakes. by'

Oh. Thursday, April 11 grades
5A and 5B presented the
Easter Assembly, We opened by
haying Mary Helen Clynick
read all gaater Poem. Then we
repeated the Lord's Prayer in
unison.
Next we watched a film
called the "Yellow Head High-
way". This was a travelogue
through Western Canada. Kin-
dergarten entertained us by
singing a song called "On
Easter Bunny White".
Following this, the whole
school sang "Here Comes Peter
Cottontail". We closed our
assembly by singing 0 Canada.

On April 10th, teachers and
students dressed up like styles
of the 50's and 60's. Some of
the boys greased their hair and
combed it back, They wore
white shirts,pointed shoes and
white socks,
The girls combed their hair
back into pony tails, then rolled
up their pants so their white
socks would show. That is how
we celebrated "Odd Day" at

KINDERGARTEN SALE Cash-in on these Good Values Everyone has things they
don't want, so they give them
away to people who would like
them. This is what the kin-
dergarten did 'for their Bunny
Bundle sale.
The'sale was on April 9, in
.the morning in Mrs. Williams'
kihdergarten classroom.
Everyone brought what they
could,
They sold books, toys, dolls,
clothes, doll clothes • and
anything else they could find
that they did not want.
People also took things that
they had two of the same. For
example, my little brother got a
book for his birthday that we
already had on our book shelf
so he took one of the books to
the sale.
Any kindergarten pupil who
had a mother or big sister who
could work at the sale was
allowed 'to bring them and
work at a table. They had
many,different tables,".There

all the new things, the games
that were in good shape and
the things that hadn't been
used very much.
The kindergarten sale had
good results. They had added
more than $40 to the Bunny
Bundle Fund, Everyone would
have to agree that the kin-
dergarten children did a very
