The Busty Beauties walked
away with the championship in
the second half of the season in
the Clinton-Blyth Bowling'
League. They collected 72
points, followed by the Slow
Pokes with 72, the Six Pin Pals
with 62, the Teetotalers with
61, the Happy Hookers with 56,
the Boo-Boos with 55, the Alley
Cats with 52 and the Swinging
Mamas with 46. Deanna Snell
had the ladies' high single of
271, and Mary Davey had both
the high triple of 725 and the
high average of 223.
•The first series winners were
the Slow Pokes. High scores
for the year were Theresa
Meehan with the high single of
353, Trudy Hill with the high
triple of 790 and Mary Davey

House League Basketball
A new season of basketball
has begun this year for the boys
of grades seven • arid eight.
Each noonhour, one team plays
another team. The winner then
goes on and challenges another
team. This continues until one
team has, won over all other
teams.
The teams are as follows, the
Pistons, the Lakers, the Celtics,
and the Knicks. , The team
standings will be reported later
as the play-offs, have not yet
started.

Ladies Afternoon League
bowling banquet, follovied by
the presentation of prizes.
The team, the Pole Cats con-
sisting of Pat Mann, Wonnetta
Holland, Jean Smith, Marg
Coombs and Ceacilia Edgar
was the season's winner.
The play-off champions were
the Tom Cats. Their team con-
sisted of Nancy Wise, Betty
Hall, Phyllis Mountford,
Dorothy Pickett, Barb Holland

Clarence McGregor of no
fixed address was convicted
Monday of possession of stolen
property and will be sentenced
today after Clinton police
recovered about $300 worth of
stolen tools taken along with a
truck last Friday night.
The truck and tools,
belonging to Charles Krieger
Contractors of Seaforth, was
reported stolen from the
Elmhaven Motor Hotel. Con-
stable Don Armstrong of the
Clinton Police investigated the
incident.
In Clinton court last week,
Les East of Clinton arid
Bradley Evenshen of Seaforth
were each fined $40 and or-
dered to pay damages after
they were convicted of willful
damage in connection with a
rock thrown through a window
of a house on Princess Street.

Bantams seek tide The 1974 senior soccer
leagne starts on :May .5th and
Clinton has .once. again entered
a team in the London and
District Soccer League's Third
Division.
The third division will have
definite Huron. County,
_flavour this year, Clinton,
Goderich, Exeter, St. Colum;
bian and Grand Bend have all
entered teams.
Clinton, who played their
first season last year finished a
commendable fifth out .of nine
entries and are seeking a first
place spot finish, that would
enable them to move up to the
second division,
. Many of last year's players
will be returning to the Clinton
squad, and a few new faces
have been added from the town
-and the high school ranks. The
goalkeeping duties this year
will be in the hands of Doug
Reilly of Clinton,, the towin's
newest policeman. Reilly-
played for several years with
London's First Division teams,
Don McPaid, who was signed
to the Clinton team late last:
year, will travel from :Toronto
and last year's captain, Charlie

Assembly
Miss Adams and her class
two kindergarten pupils presen-
ted an assembly on Thursday
April 4.
They opened the program
with "0 Canada", followed by
songs, "Peter Cottontail" and
"I'm a little bunny". Next.
came "the Meaning of Easter",
a rhythm band, dancing Looby
Lou, the auction song, and
"The Windmill".
Carolyn Dougherty gave a
recitation and Connie Hoggart
did a tap dance. Several other
; songs were sung And the• assem-
bly' ended with "The Queen".
