Present PUC manager
R.J. (GUS) BOUSSEY
1967 to Present
Raymond Joseph Boussey, who is only Clinton's fourth
manager in the last 60 years, was born in Windsor and
studied industrial and practical electricity in that city,
After a three year stint in - the Canadian Navy during
World War H, he returned home and worked for a year as a
plant electrician at the Ford plant in Windsor.
' In 1946, he moved to Seaforth where he was hired by the
Seaforth PUC as a lineman. In 1958, he became manager of
the Seaforth PUC and then moved to Clinton to become the
Clinton PUC manager in 1967.
Mr. Boussey says that Clinton offered him more of a
challenge than did the Seaforth PUC which is much smaller,
He says there have been many changes since he first came to,
Clinton, one of them being the cost of sewage treatment,
which he says is a necessity.
"It costs more now to get' rid of the water in Clinton than
it costs to get it," he said. He was referiing to the fact that
Clinton has cheap water compared to the sewage rates,
