married and comes from Lon-
don, where he was an

United Church last Sunday
morning Were Wayne Lyon,
Wayne Nutley, Steven Jewitt,
Kevin and Keith Howatt, The
choir anthem was "Nearer my
God to Thee," with Mrs. Allen
Boman at the organ and Mrs.
Allen Shaddick leading the
'choir. The children's story was
"Life breathed in." Rev.
MacDonald's message was
"Don't dim your lights on life's
highway."

The Londesboro III, 4-H
held their first meeting on their
Spring, project, "Take a look at
yourself," on March 5th at the
home of Mrs. Tom Duizer, with
15 members present. The
leaders. are 'Mrs, Tom ,Duizer
and Mrs. Eric Anderson.
They opened the meeting and
had the election of officiers.
They are as follows: president;
Cheryl Reid; vice-president,
Barbara Gloush'er;* secretary,
Golda Sewers; and press repor-
ter, Lorna Riley . Rile
They discussed what makes a
person attractive and "my self

held last Friday night. Win-

4H CLUB
CLINTON IV., 4-H
The Clinton IV held their
third meeting on Monday,
March 4 at Carnochan's with
all members present.
Rose vened the meeting
with the 4-H pledge and then
we had our roll call. Our
discussion, on storage, was
called "A Place ' For
Everything".
We talked about good
storage and how to store
various articles. We gave
suggestions on the storage of
"problem, items":

good rules of storage. The
discussion was led by Christine.
The next meeting will be
held on. Monday, March 18 at
Christine Carter's

4-H
. On Monday, March 4,
Holmesville II held their first
4-H club meeting at
Holmesville Public School.
This year's spring project is
"Taking a Look at Yourself",
The leaders of the club are
Mrs. Yeo and Mrs. Heycoop,
who explained to us what the
club was all about and what
the proper procedure was,
The election of the officers
was held and they are as
follows: president, Marie Bet-
ties; vice-president, Janet
Kiomps; press reporter, Ann
Elliott; and secretary-
treasurer, Audrey Deputter.
The topic for discussion was
"Is Your Image Important",
The meeting was adjourned
with the reciting of the 4-H
Motto.
The next meeting will be
held on March 25 at 7;00 p.m.
at Holmesville Public

The Chapter received an in-
vitation from London
Municipal Chapter to their an-
nual dinner meeting which
some of the local members will
attend. A second out-of-town
function was discussed, the an-
nual meeting of the Provincial
Chapter LO.D.E. in Hamilton.
in April. It was decided to send
both the Regent and Vice-
regent to this meeting for the
one day, particularly to attend
some of the workshops.
Ways and means chairman,
Marjorie Porter reported plans
well implemented for the
project on March 30, the ap-
pearance at the CHSS
auditorium of the Woodstock
Choralaires. A count of tickets
sold showed the tickets to be
moving well. Many of the
ladies expressed their pleasure
over the attractive posters, ad-
vertising the Choralaires,
which were done by the
children of Mrs. Charter's class
at Clinton Public'SchLioL ,•
Sarah Irate Chapter I.O.D.E.
held their regular monthly
meeting on March 5 with
Regent Dorelene Flowers in the
chair.
Among the items of business
discussed was a project for
Clinton's Centennial. Since the
Provincial Chapter I.O.D,E. is
currently selling an "I.O.D.B.
75th Anniversary" rose bush, it
was decided that a dozen of
these bushes would be pur-
chased and a rose-bed
established.
The "dirty work" for this
project is being done by the
