The Knock Outs have a large
lead in the Londesboro Ladies'
League with 92 points, ahead of
the Head Hunters with 74, the

Nancy Roy had the high triple
of 599 and Dorothy Carter had
the high average of 193.
In the Londesboro Men's
League, the, Beavers are way
out in front with 101 points,

stitute Tweedsmuir History
committee are in search of old
pictures relating to the early
history of Auburn. They have
been working on this book for
over a year and some pictures
are still needed.
If you have any of the
following in your possession
and would loan them to have a

HALL BOARD
The Auburn Memorial Com-
munity Hall Board met for
their annual meeting With the
chairman Gerald McDowell in
charge.
In the financial statement
prepared by the secretary:,

$1637.72, Rent for the hall was
$951 and the proceeds from the

Alley Cats with 64, the Tom
Cats with 48, and the Bob Cats

both the high single of 264 and
the high triple of 675.
In the Clinton-Blyth League,
the Busty Beauties lead the
way with 26 points, followed ,
closely by the Slow Pokes with
25, the Teetotalers with 22, the
Six Pin Pals with 20, the Happy
Hookers with 18,.the Swinging
Mamas and the Alley Cats with
17 each and the Boo-Boos with
15. Trudy Hill, had the high
single of 288, while Mary
Davey had both the high triple
of 668 and the high average of
222.
The Ferrotics show no signs
of giving up their lead in the
Wil-Dex .League as they have
90 points, followed by the Chip-
breakers with 82, the Precisions
with 73 and the Diamonds with
66. Nellie Burkholder swept all
the women's honors with the
high single of 285, the high
triple of 666 and the high
average of 192. •Mike Stinnissen
took home all the men's honors
with the high single of 308, the
high triple of 706, and the high
average of 205,
There is still a very tight race
in the Crown Junior League
-With most of the teams still
able to take the top spot. In
first place this week are the
Aristocats with 66 points,
followed closely by the Corner
Pins with 64, the Strike Outs
with 63, the Super Strikers with
61 and the Alley Crackers with
60. Next come the Alley Cats
with 57, the Head Pins with 55,
the Tigers with 54, the Weeping.

U.C.W. Brucefield United
Church, met in the school room
on Monday afternoon with an
attendance of 14. Roll call was
answered by all present on the
theme "happiness",
Mrs. Mary Haugh and Mrs.
Vina Berry were in charge of
the program and devetions.
Mrs. - Haugh opened the
meeting with a reeding,
followed by a hymn with Mrs.
Ham at the piano, Mrs. Berry
read Psalm 126 followed by the
Lord's Prayer in unison. The
secretary's report was/ given,
the offering received and
dedicated.
Mrs. Berry spoke on the
"Legend of the Valentine" and
told of a martyr of the year 306
AD who was called Valentine
and how. people should be
happy and full of love. In
keeping with the theme the
school room was beautifully
decorated with valentines,
hearts and flowers.
Mrs, Broadfoot reported for
cards and flowers. Mrs. Haugh
gave a very interesting talk,
which was enjoyed by all, on
her trip to Hawaii last fall.
This part of- the meeting closed
with a Hymn and the Mizpah
benediction.
During the business meeting
plans were made for a Tupper-
ware party to be held in the
church, March 14, • with
everyone invited and also to
bring a friend. Mrs. Walters
closed the meeting with a
'prayer. A dainty lunch was ser-
ved by Mrs. J. Broadfoot, Mrs.
H, McCartny and Mrs. Haugh.
