The Sixth Annual Clinton

nament came to a close on-
Sunday despite heavy freezing
rain and 'power interruptions
of up to 2 1/2 hours. -
All teams arrived on time
with Owen Sound arriving at
the same time as they, were
scheduled to play. For the
second year in a row, Owen
Sound was involved in an ac-
cident which saw their bus
skid into the ditch in the
Paisley area. However, the
exciting ride down proved to
be worthwhile as they skated
to a 6-5 overtime win over
Huron East to take the "AA"
championship,
A goal at the 48 second
mark of the first overtime
period by Mike Hanna gave
Owen Sound the champion-
ship.
The "A" championship was
'decided in one game instead of
the two game, total goals as
was previously scheduled due
to the bad weather, A very
strong Hespeler team took to
the ice only to have the doors
shut on them by Stoneybrook
goaltender Jim Nelson, Kirk
Jesson's goal at' 13;50 of the
second period stood up, as the
winner as Nelson kicked out
shot after shot in the final five
minutes of the game.
The "B" championship saw
another exciting game with
West Hill downing last year's
champions, Kincardine, by a
score of 7-4. Th a game was
delayed up to two hours as the
result of power failurea,
