your P.V.C. men worked long
and hard. A sincere vote of
"thanks from Clintonians to Gus
Boussey, Don Ellwood, Royce
Fremlin, Torn O'Connell,
Bruce Schoenals, arid Albert
Valkenburg, While talking
with Mr. Boussey, who inciden-

storm he had experienced while
here, he in turn paid tribute to
the splendid, assistance he and
his men received from the local
police on duty, the Bell
Telephone workers . and the
T,V. Cable staff.

Our apologies to anyohe who
tried the News-Record office
door between 3:15 and 3;30
p:m. last Friday and found it
locked, For a short fifteen
minutes, our versatile' editor
had forsaken his post as editor
and acting advertising
manager, classified-
subscription supervisor and
bookkeeper .to satisfy the over-.
whelming needs of a stomach
which thought its thioat was
cut. Jim Fitzgerald had
willingly held the fort from 11
a.m. while Marion Snell and
your writer were attending a
luncheon for the distaff at the
Bedford Hotel hosted by our
parent company The Goderich
Signal-Star.

Soule of our readers who
were watching one of the local
chancels.-.art television last
Monday evening at 10 p.111,
would see the familiar program
"Nature of Things", and even
more familiar to many would
be the players taking part in
this particular segment. They
were the, children of last year's
grade four class at Huron Cen-
tennial School, Brucefield,
" headed by Mrs. Gemmell. Af-
ter a comprehensive study of
Japan - the language, arts,
music, monetary system,,
manufacturing, social and coin,
mercial life, these ambitious
youngsters elected, to enact for
one day all that they had lear-
ned. A CBC camera crew was
on hand to tape this fine effort -
this was done before the close
of last year's school year - so at
last it was a big thrill for all
concerned to see the actual
program on the screen.
