JOHNSTON. In loving memory of
Ken (Speed) who passed away two
years ago on January 2, 2007.
In tears I saw you sinking,
I watched you fade away,
My heart was almost broken,
You fought so hard to stay,
But when I saw you sleeping,
So peacefully free from pain,
I could not wish you back,
To suffer that again.
– Remembered always, Thelma.

SHAW. In loving memory of our
dear grandma and great-grandma,
Patricia Shaw, who passed away
December 30, 2007.
Grandma,
We thought of you with love today
but that is nothing new,
We thought about you yesterday and
days before that too.
We think of you in silence, we often
speak your name,
All we have are memories and your
picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake with
which we’ll never part,
God has you in His keeping, we have
you in our hearts.
– Sadly missed and dearly loved by
all of her grandchildren and great-
grandchildren. 51-1

SHAW. In loving memory of Pat
Shaw.
Remembrance
Remembrance is a golden chain
Death tries to break,
but all in vain.
To have, to love, and then to part
Is the greatest sorrow of one’s heart.
The years may wipe out many things
But some they wipe out never.
Like memories of those happy times
When we were all together.
– Author Unknown
– Lovingly remembered by Charlie,
Brenda, Ann and John. 51-1

Christmas in Hawaii
The lucky Grade 4/5 class at Blyth Public School got to celebrate Christmas in Hawaii last
week at the school’s Christmas concert. The students presented a production of Is Santa
Smarter?, where Santa goes on a quiz show to win $1 million to ensure he can deliver gifts to
all of the world’s children. From left: Dawn Conrad, Chantal VanSchaik and Brittany Walden.
