All mine With no opposition in sight the Brussels Bantam Rep grabs the puck in the no-nonsense approach his team used to win at home Sunday afternoon. The visiting squad from Ayton were kept busy in their end as the hosts skated away with a 7-1 victory. (Vicky Bremner photo) Brussels PeeWee Reps face off against Howick The Blyth Atom Local League travelled to Monkton with a team depleted by stormy weather, vacations and illness. With their regular goalie out of town Blyth coaches sent in a rookie goalie, Jeremy Wilts, who was eager to give it a try. Blyth controlled the play for most of the second period, sending a barage of great shots at the tremendous Monkton goalie without success. Monkton took a couple of opportunities to test the new goalie but was thwarted. Colton Rodger was in the right place at the right time, he found the puck on his stick, and fired a hard shot under the goalie giving the team a 1-0 score that held until the end of the game.
