the one-day Arran-Elderslie
tournament.
Blyth’s first game was against
another area team, the BCH Ice Dogs.
The first two periods were tight-
checking affairs with no goals by
either team.
Blyth’s Dalton Richmond fired
home a rebound to open the scoring
in the third assisted by Kyle Pollard.
Josh VanSoest increased the lead to
two, assisted by Robbie Gordon and
Damien Brak.
Solid goaltending by Dustin Treble
earned him and his team another
shutout as Blyth finished off BCH 2-
0.
Blyth then met up with Kincardine.
Blyth took control of the game early
scoring two in the first, five in the
second and another in the third.

were playing the tournament host.
A quick goal by Arran-Elderslie
put Blyth behind early in the game.
This held until the third period
when again Arran-Elderslie scored.
The Bulldogs kept playing hard
and scored 30 seconds later to
decrease the deficit to one. With
about three minutes to play Blyth
pulled their goalie.
The final score was a 2-1 loss.

for a league game on Sunday.

when Brak fired home a rebound.

an assist from Pollard. Blyth then

increase the lead to two.

the game with another assist to

The Brussels PeeWee Reps faced
off against Howick recently.

game and did some great passing to
take the victory.

McLean with a hattrick, Jordyn
Sholdice and Lexi Smith with two
apiece, Hayden TenPas and Mitchell
Kellington. Assists were by Sholdice
and TenPas with two each, Reece

goalie Matt McNichol allowed on
one shot to get by him.
The PeeWees played an exhibition
game against BCH.
Though the scoreboard showed a
4-1 loss for Brussels, the team
worked hard until the end. McNichol
was kept busy with the offence
sending lots of shots in his direction.
Smith scored the lone Brussels
goal with help from Sholdice and
Kellington.

saves by the shooting Battalion team.
The line of Newson, Chisholm and
Beuermann could not buy a goal that
game despite a valiant effort.
The Lakers moved on to the semi-
final matching up against the Toronto
Jr. Canadians who were undefeated in
the last four games of the tournament.
Hertel scored his fifth goal of the
tournament thanks to a two-on-one
play with Kuno. Kuno scored the

Brussels PeeWee Reps
face off against Howick
The Blyth Atom Local League
travelled to Monkton with a team
depleted by stormy weather,
vacations and illness.
With their regular goalie out of
town Blyth coaches sent in a rookie
goalie, Jeremy Wilts, who was eager
to give it a try.
Blyth controlled the play for most
of the second period, sending a
barage of great shots at the
tremendous Monkton goalie without
success.
Monkton took a couple of
opportunities to test the new goalie
but was thwarted.
Colton Rodger was in the right
place at the right time, he found the
puck on his stick, and fired a hard
shot under the goalie giving the team
a 1-0 score that held until the end of
the game.
