They hosted Elma Logan and it was aclose one.Brussels took the lead with twoquick goals by Avery McArter andTerpstra. Help came from Alexandra Martinand Darren Evans.Elma came on strong in the secondand scored two but McArter andTerpstra put in two more.Elma did too and the final scorewas 4-4.Jarron Thompson playedoustandingly well in net.Brussels Novices suffer defeat On Sunday, the Saugeen Maitland Lightning Bantam AA Girls met the Brantford Ice Cats in Ayton. The Lightning struck in the second period, on a shot by Laura Irwin, assisted by Sarah Gossell and Kelly Gribbons. The lead was short-lived, as the Ice Cats answered with a goal of their own seconds later. Despite many good chances for the Lightning in the third period, they could not find the twine again and the final score remained 1-1. The Lightning is in action again next Saturday in Windsor against the Wildcats and Sunday in Howick against the Guelph Thunder. Ho! Ho! Ho! Madill Secondary School. East Wawanosh started strong, but eventually ended up on the wrong side of a 25-11 score.
