residence.
Clarence was the loving father of
Maurice Flood of Alberta, Janet
(Gary) Caesar of Dungannon, Verna
Humphrey (Bryce) of Lucknow and
Calvin (Dianne) Flood of Walton.
He was the cherished grandfather of
11 grandchildren and 12 great-
grandchildren. He was the dear
brother of Ross (Ethel) Flood of
Mitchell and Al (Rolande) Flood of
Thornhill. Also surviving are a
number of nieces and nephews.
Clarence was predeceased by his
parents George and Susan (Dawson)
Flood, wife Eva, grandson John,
granddaughter Brett and brothers
Maurice and Douglas.
Friends were received at the
Lockhart Funeral Home, 109
Montreal St., Mitchell on Tuesday
from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. where the
funeral service was held on
Wednesday at 11 a.m.
Interment was in Knox
Presbyterian Cemetery, Mitchell.
Memorial donations to the
Alexandra Marine and General
Hospital CT scanner fund, Goderich
or charity of one’s choice would be
appreciated.

BARBARA RUMBALL
Barbara C. (Stiles) (Knight)
Rumball of London, passed away at
LHSC - Victoria, on Wednesday,
Nov. 12, 2008. Born in Brussels on
May 9, 1941, Barbara was in her68th year.Barbara was the beloved wife of
Jim and dear mother of Judy Becker
and husband Dennis of Mildmay,
Patricia Dummitt and husband
Corrie of Sarnia, Todd Rumball and
wife Joanne, Christine Rumball and
Karen Rumball, all of London. She
was the dear sister of Dorothy
McMichan and husband George of
Guelph, Stewart Stiles and wife Joan
of London and Gordon Stiles and
wife Jean of Stratford. Barbara was
also loved by her grandchildren
Alyssa, Cassidy, Brody, Bryce,
Keeghan, Devon, Michael, Bethany,
Hanna, and Nicholas and many
nieces and nephews.
Barbara was predeceased by her
parents, William and Sarah Stiles,
sisters Alice Stiles, Louise Easter
and Annie Speirs and brothers Dr.
William ‘Buster’ Stiles, Joseph
Stiles, Allan Stiles, Kenneth ‘Mac’
Stiles, John Stiles, Ted Stiles and
Junior Stiles.
Friends were received at the
Schimanski Family Funeral Home
two hours prior to the funeral service
conducted in the chapel at 3 p.m. on
Saturday, Nov. 15 officiated by
Sandra Cable. A remembrance of
Barbara was given by Michael Stiles
while scriptures were read by Sandra
Mulday and Barb Stiles.
Acting as honorary pallbearers
were Larry Stiles, Brian Stiles, Todd
Rumball, Joanne and Dave Acal and
Michael and Mary Stiles.
Cremation followed with
interment in Brussels Cemetery at a
later date.As an expression of sympathy,memorial donations may be made to
the Multiple Sclerosis Society of
Canada or the Crohn’s and Colitis
Foundation of Canada.

A group of Brussels citizens gathered at Melville
Presbyterian Church to enjoy a potluck supper and hear
about the work of the Canadian Landmine Federation. The
guest speaker, Brian Angyal and his wife Micki, gave a
presentation on the cemeteries and commemorative
markers in Ypres, Vimy, Dieppe and Juno Beach. (Photo
