Rosanna Grobbink was born in
Huron County at the Seaforth
Hospital, when they still delivered
babies, and grew up in Walton.
Like many youths she left the
county to pursue a post-secondary
education but her heart remained in
Huron. She returned with an
Honours degree in Biomedical
Science from the University of
Guelph as well as a Bachelor's
degree in Education from the
University of Western Ontario in
London.
The healthcare field has been
Grobbink’s gateway to pursuing her
career in the county she loves. In the
summer of 2007 she was hired under
the Youth Worker Placement
Program, while completing her post-
secondary education, where she
assisted in the development of
promotional material for the
recruitment of healthcare
professionals and to promote the
then newly-formed Huron
Community Family Health Team. In 2008, after completing herschooling, she returned to HuronCounty and got a summer internshipwith the HealthKick program whereshe helped to plan the MedQuest
Camp for Grade 10 and 11 students
who are interested in pursuing a
career in the Healthcare field.
Grobbink now works with the
board of education in Huron County
and continues to assist with
HealthKick. She believes the
experience she gained over her two
summer placements helped prepare
her for the work she is doing now.
Not only did they improve her
knowledge of the healthcare field but
they allowed her to network and
make valuable contacts. She alsofeels they have allowed her tocontribute to her community byengaging youth and acting as a rolemodel, encouraging them to followtheir dreams.
Grobbink hopes to build a strong
career for herself in Huron County in
order to remain close to her roots
and her family, and because she
enjoys the uniqueness of the
community.
Grobbink was a participant in
summer placements with the Youth
Worker Placement Program and the
HealthKick Project both funded by
the Huron Business Development
Corporation.

Meeting four of the Dancing
Divas 4-H club was held starting
with the club members moving
around and dancing to music.
Members then did the pledge and
roll call which was, If you had to
choreograph a dance, how would
you start? Answers varied from head
bopping to clapping.
Members talked about Take it
Home and the Reflection.
Members learned the polka. Some
members had difficulty learning it
while others caught on very quickly.
The last item for the members to
discuss was choreography and
different choreography tools.
