Through stories, pictures and audio clips, the students journey into the life of a child in another part of the world who has received a shoe box gift. It teaches compassion, that giving is better than receiving and that children here have much to be thankful for. The children earn Box Bucks through participation and good behaviour, then use them to buy items for a shoebox gift they pack themselves at a simulated Box Bucks store.
