The Brussels PeeWee Reps played
against Milverton last Wednesday
night. They hammered them with a
9-2 win.
Goals were scored by Wyatt
Ducharme with four, Jordyn
Sholdice with two, Mitchell
Kellington, Josh Bridge, and Lexi
Smith. Assists went to Brock
McLean, Tim Waechter, Smith and
Kellington.
There were an additional 20 shots
taken on net.
At the Brussels end, goalie Matt
McNichol played strong in net
making 18 saves.
Playing strong on defence were
Reece McArter, Ducharme and
Hayden TenPas.
This game saw a lot of minor
penalties for both teams.
The Brussels PeeWee Local
League played in Wingham on
Sunday afternoon. They lost 3-1.
Scoring the lone goal for Brussels
was Jason Baxter, assisted by Tim
Waechter. Solid in net was Austin
Johnston.
Pulled up from the Atoms was
defenceman Ben Newell.
The next game for this team is
Saturday in Seaforth.
The Blyth Novice Local League
travelled to Mitchell on Saturday,
Nov. 1.
Mitchell skated away with a 5-1
win but the local team is showing
signs of steady improvement.
Despite the lopsided score, Lucas
Townsend made many saves to keep
the score close. All Blyth skaters put
in a good effort.
On Sunday, Nov. 2 Blyth hosted
Monkton. Monkton held onto a 4-3
lead and thwarted a Blyth comeback.
Blyth goalscorers were: Michael
Blok, Snowden Renaud and Bailey
Bos. Assists went to Renaud, Tanner
Boven and Mason Campbell.
Townsend again played well in the
Blyth net.
The next home game is Nov. 8 at
11:30 a.m. against the arch rivals
from Wingham.
The Blyth Midget Reps travelledto Monkton on Thursday, Oct. 30.Tyler Stevenson opened the
scoring at the first period. The goal
was assisted by Adam Cronin. Less
than a minute later Dan Dery scored,
assisted by Kenny Plunkett. At 8:43,
Cronin scored his first of the night
with assists from Matt Stevenson
and Michael McDowell. With just
under three minutes left in the first,
Plunkett scored, assisted by Tyler
Black.
Monkton only scored once during
the first.
The second period was alsodominated by Blyth. M. Stevensonscored, with assists from Dery and
Cronin, less than 30 seconds into the
second. Dallas Pennington found the
net, assisted by John LeComte and
Matt Chalmers. Cronin found the net
one last time with less than two
minutes left in the second. Assists
were awarded to McDowell and
Black.
Monkton scored once during the
second.
The third period was scoreless.
The final score was 7-2 for Blyth.

Going for it
The Brussels Atom Local League faced off against BCH I last Saturday. This was only the
second time on the ice for the local team and it showed with a loss of 8-0. Despite that the
squad did take 14 shots on net and Brussels goalie Konrad McArter made 18 great saves.
